Kevin's Mind Map of Wonder!

Hello

I have my short historical event script finished since it's deadline which was last Thursday. Now I am onto historical fiction, so I have until next Sunday to complete this.

For today's blog I am going to map out all of the creative ideas I have, that I would like to do. I am going to assume this blog is going to be a nightmare for organized people to read. Oh, especially if you are a literary manager or agent too. You may be shouting "pick a lane Kevin" at the end of it. I understand that, though here I go not following that advice.

I find that for my own writing, it works better when I don't think "How will this benefit me in getting a career in writing". When I think like that, it leads to writer's block and writing that I'm never happy with. When I keep to "I'm writing what I want right now" then I can mow down pages and write better. I think this is why I would benefit from a manager, depending on the type. Someone who can gently push my focus into an area that will benefit me in making a career out of writing. Without it being in the forefront of my mind. Just look at this whole 55 Genres challenge. I'm doing this as well as other writing work. Now writing 55 shorts is probably a waste of time for most people. Why not just write one or two strong pieces and then look to get them filmed. I struggle with that myself. I have to just write them. I don't mind if they are "wasted". Hell, this blog is a waste of time to write every Sunday, I mean how mind blowing are these topics, but I'll still do them because I wanted to and it's a fun challenge for me to write a blog every week. (As you can tell I have not written a blog before).

I've other projects to look after anyway.

So here they are. All the ideas that I have thought of and not completely discarded. It would be a real shame if these were never created. Even if they were created and were awful, still better than left in my head right?

So I'm going to have to get a move on.

You just know I'm missing out on one or two but I'm pretty sure these are the most important projects to do. Not to mention there are probably a couple of shorts that I really like. For example I have this sort of "The Revenant meets fantasy creatures" short that I'd like to turn into a feature. But it's at such an early stage in my mind, I won't include it, yet.

Which I should just go and do. It can't hurt to more content out there can it.

Oh, also next year I have a wedding to plan for. So throw that in there too, because you have to assume that we will be getting creative with that.

So there is my list of things to do. Now to just go do them!

Oh, and also I will be walking to Mount Doom from the Shire. I will end the blog with no other explanation to that part.
